We usually know a week or more in advance when we will need a substitute. You may also be trained as a substitute or "on call" receptionist, which requires an initial series of dates for training. Training is provided on the job as well as an initial safety training and orientation to the site prior to first shift. ![]() Our receptionists are very important to us and are the "face" of the Effie Yeaw Nature Center. Receptionists help support daily operations of the Nature Center so Staff are able to lead programs, plan and schedule events, and handle emergencies. Receptionists often answer calls to give directions on how to get to the Nature Center and answer other questions or direct callers to office staff. Greet and welcome visitors to the beautiful Effie Yeaw Nature Center. We are currently seeking receptionists to support operations Tuesday-Sunday, mornings or afternoons from 9am to 1pm or 1pm to 5:00pm.
